And back to Seattle.
Then I walked around in the woods a little bit.
And went home for 50 hours.
You know when people do things that are so cool there aren’t any words to describe it? Yup. This is one of those times.
The #Postojna #Caves in #Slovenia is kind of like the Indiana Jones ride at Disneyland, but way cooler. Never mind the fact it didn’t have a boulder rolling towards us at one point—though I suspect if one did, I wouldn’t have made it out like Indy did. I just don’t have his swagger…and I’m lousy at wearing hats. (at Postojnska jama / Postojna Cave)
Yes, he may not be a hat guy, but like Mr. Jones, my brother does do some pretty badass stuff. Case in point, well…this.
So, whenever I think of Oregon, things like Powell’s, Voodoo Doughnuts, not having to pump my own gas (which is weird), and not having to pay tax (which is awesome) all come to mind.
That’s probably because I’d never been to the Oregon Coast before. And holy smoke, what a place it is.
We headed from Seattle to Camus, and then booked it to the coast the next day. We went from Seaside to Hug Point, all the way down to Pacific City, and then backtracked a bit to Whalen Island, where we camped. We also went to Tillamook on the way back to Seattle, but I was too busy stuffing my face with dairy-based goodness to take any photos worth posting.
